I recently purchased an ultrawide monitor to use as a second screen. I am hoping to become more productive in video editing with the additional viewing real estate. I am still learning my way around the screen setups and dual monitor use so more about that later.
While setting up a lock screen and wallpaper I found that some of my panorama shots looked very good. Consequently, I started a folder to share the photos. Along the way I thought it would be interesting if I could create videos in that same 21x9 aspect ratio. The sample video is attached to this post but may not display correctly due to format of this site. It does not look correct on YouTube either. So, I will provide a link to download the MP4 file along with all the panorama photos.
The short instruction set to accomplish this video creation goes as follows. Set your timeline create the video with aspect ratio of 2560x1098. If you are creating a 4K video the setting would be 3840x1645. I will spare you the math. When exporting, use the same format. The source video is not likely to be in this aspect ratio so you will need to crop or adjust for the desired view. The photos are a bit easier as you can do this when editing and save to the appropriate dimensions.
Please try to download and view on your ultrawide monitor at home using the MP4 file found in the link. You may also use the photos in any way desired! You can find the link at;
