The pictures here are from a trip that I took in the middle of April, 2021. As usual I actually enjoyed the car trip as much or more than the actual destination. I managed to find quite a few “quirky” pictures along the way to keep things interesting.
The leisurely drive is about 4 hours from Las Vegas and many parts truly in the middle of nowhere with cell phone service unreliable.
No drones allowed (technically) but managed to get a few shots from just outside the park. Also, found some other general clips online and have included them here.
The Park was enjoyable although a bit crowded. Many of the scenic spots had only a few parking spaces open if any? Consequently, I missed a few photo ops.
I was happy to make it a one-day trip and be home before dark. Perhaps I am a bit spoiled living close to Red Rock Canyon where I can get much of the same scenery and only 10 miles from my home.
I had always wanted to visit the park. Similar to Death Valley it is a great destination and perhaps once is just the right amount.
Heading to Utah for the next few installments as the weather should be great in early May. Planning to visit the State Parks for something different and less crowded than Zion or Bryce.
Details to follow. . .
