The Mount Charleston Mountains, located about 30 miles north of Las Vegas and a nice change of pace from the hectic life of Sin City. The area is well known by locals but not a likely destination for the gambling tourist.

With elevations over 10,000 feet, the area features snow-capped mountains in the Winter and a cool respite from the sizzling heat of Summer.
