Highway 93 between Las Vegas and Kershaw-Ryan State Park near Caliente, Nevada.

For me, this was the case where the journey was better than the destination. I did visit the park and hiked for about 2 hours in late February. The weather was a bit cool but nothing unexpected considering the season. Basically, three trails in the park that also offers camping and a small day-use area for picnics.

More enjoyable was stopping the car numerous times along the route for photos and flying my drone. Many turn-outs with a scenic overlook with seldom a car or truck passing by.

The still photos were captured by simply grabbing a screenshot from the drone video. The drone can capture high-resolution photos but for me, it is much easier to find a composition when watching the video later at home. I am likely getting a lower quality picture this way but it is still acceptable for social media or embedding it in a video.
