Another vintage review featuring the Helios 44-2. Despite the name, the lens is a 58 mm with aperture range from F2 to F 16. There are a wide variety of models in the helios line and were produced in 2 different screw mounts. Either mount will work with many modern cameras with the appropriate adapter. A link in the description explains in more detail.
The design is interesting with 2 aperture rings.
You set the aperture you want to stop down to on the outer ring via click stops. Then the inner ring rotates freely between being wide open, and the aperture you’ve set on the outer ring.
The lens captures a great bokeh when shooting wide open and highly regarded for the great color. Even better, the prices are rather modest and start at about $30 on Ebay.
The photos and videos here are views from the Las vegas western suburbs. Everything was shot with the Helios lens on my Canon m50. My modest attempts in creating that great bokeh close the video.
