Not quiet photography, but this free app fixed one of the most annoying features of Windows 11 for me. I am not a big fan of the new Windows as I think it just moved things around without offering any notable improvements. Even worse for me as I still use an older computer some of the time that can not (or will not be) updated to Windows 11. Consequently, I had two different workflows which made life difficult
Specifically, I was quite frustrated by the new truncated menu bar as it seemed that I was always clicking, “Show More Options” to get to my desired menu item. Included in this app is a quick and easy way to restore the full menu options when you click on a file. Screenshots below.
There are quite a few other tweaks included in the program which allow the user to customize the Windows interface including taskbar and start menu appearance. I won’t go into a full demonstration here but the program is rather intuitive and offers explanations along the way regarding each change.
If you are just a little brave and like the appearance of some previous versions of Windows, this program may be a nice alternative as opposed to editing Windows registry settings.
