Somewhat out of necessity, I have changed my photography outings to short weekend trips around Las Vegas. Some combination of work and sleep seems to be cramping my previous routine. Perhaps all for the better as gas prices remain around $4.00 a gallon.
One benefit of the change was finding new places for hiking and photos close to home. This Saturday morning a took a short walk of exploration and found a trail that I have driven past more than 50 times. Good things happen when you get out of the car!
This will work nicely as the trail is less than one mile long and may provide a chance for some more intimate shots to compliment the wide panoramas that I have previously captured. Doubtful that hiking will ever be a major part of my lifestyle but it surely won’t hurt to get more exercise.
